Boise Man in Custody for Criminal Trespassing

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man is in custody for criminal trespassing.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Gabriel Donald Coley was arrested Friday morning.

Coley is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Man, 26, Arrested for Second DUI Offense

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man was arrested Friday morning for driving under the influence.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Raymond Cano Solorio was arrested and charged with his second DUI offense.

Solorio has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Nampa Man Arrested in Vandalism Incident

(NAMPA, Idaho) -- A Nampa man was held by police following a vandalism incident that saw several vehicles and homes being damaged earlier this week.

Police received multiple reports of a man in the area breaking windows using a large pipe on Wednesday afternoon on the 2500 block of Sundance Road. Police said officers responded and confronted the man, with the man then allegedly swinging the pipe and breaking the window of a police vehicle, before trying to flee the scene.

Officers managed to take the 18-year-old man into custody, and he has since been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said at least 15 victims had their vehicle or residence damaged during the incident.

Two Men Sought in Robbery at Ontario Pharmacy

(ONTARIO, Ore.) -- Police are searching for two men who robbed a pharmacy in Ontario, Ore., on Friday.

Ontario Police said two men entered a Walgreens pharmacy around 9:25 p.m. One of the men indicated that he was armed -- although no weapon was seen -- and the suspects proceeded to rob the pharmacy of an undisclosed amount of cash and pharmaceutical drugs.

There were no reports of injury.

Ontario Police said they are comparing this robbery to a similar robbery that occurred in Boise in February.

Calif. Man Arrested for DUI

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A man from Palmdale, Calif. is in custody in Boise for driving under the influence.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Paul Clinton was arrested Monday morning for driving under the influence and driving without privileges.

Man Arrested on Child Sexual Exploitation Charges

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A man has been arrested in Boise on child sexual exploitation charges.

The Idaho Statesman reports that 31-year-old James Stuart Bigler was arrested last week based on photos on his computer of children being sexually abused.

Bigler was charged with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

According to the Statesman, a hearing is set for April 10.

Boise Man Hospitalized as Motorcycle, SUV Collide

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A motorcyclist has been hospitalized following a vehicular crash in Boise on Monday.

Boise Police said a motorcycle and an SUV, both traveling in opposite directions on West Overland Road, collided when the SUV attempted to turn onto South Biggs Street shortly before 12 noon.

The motorcyclist -- a Boise man in his 30s -- was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Boise Man Arrested for Third DUI

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man was arrested for driving under the influence for the third time this weekend.

According to the Boise Police Department, 60-year-old Peter Zimmermann was pulled over early Sunday morning for driving with a headlight out.

Zimmermann's blood alcohol tests measured at .153 and .159.

Due to his two prior DUI convictions, Zimmermann was arrested and charged with felony DUI.

Meridian Man Caught Stealing from Convenience Store

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Meridian man was caught stealing from a convenience store on Saturday.

According to the Boise Police Department, Joshua McIver, 34, was at a convenience store when he took items -- including a box of wine and a soda -- into a bathroom to consume them.

McIver was arrested and charged with felony burglary.

More Witnesses Sought in Crash that Left Boise Motorcyclist Injured

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed a crash that left a motorcyclist injured on Monday to come forward.

Boise Police said a motorcycle and an SUV, both traveling in opposite directions on West Overland Road, collided when the SUV attempted to turn onto South Biggs Street shortly before 12 noon.

The motorcyclist -- a Boise man in his 30s -- was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and police said while they do have some witness accounts, investigators are hoping that more eyewitnesses will come forward with information as police try to determine what happened leading up to the crash.

Teen Boys Caught in Connection with Dozens of Cases of Graffiti

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Three teenage boys have been caught in connection with 33 reported cases of graffiti.

Boise Police say the graffiti covered schools, businesses, trees, homes, signs, fences, and playground equipment.

Damages are estimated at $38,704.

Police say prosecutors are recommending charges of felony injury to property. The boys-- ages 13 and 14-- have been released to their parents.

Man Arrested for Reportedly Attacking Victim with Baseball Bat

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man has been arrested after reportedly hitting a man with a baseball bat.

Boise Police say 31-year-old Darren Rowan hit the victim with a baseball bat during a fight at West Normandie Drive and South Roosevelt Street. Rowan then fled the scene.

The victim was not seriously injured.

Rowan was apprehended and arrested on an aggravated battery charge.

According to police, the suspect and victim know each other.

Warehouse Fire Contained with Help from Sprinkler System

(BOISE, Idaho) -- The Boise Fire Department reported on Thursday that a fire at a Southeast Boise warehouse was partially contained by the building's sprinkler system.

Fire crews reportedly responded to an alarm at the warehouse on Branniff Street at 2 a.m. on Thursday. Responding firefighters found smoke coming from the building, which was used for commercial laundry services.

Firefighters eventually located the fire and extinguished the blaze.

One firefighter was injured stepping off of a loading dock due to heavy smoke.

The cause of the fire remains under further investigation.

Meridian Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

(MERIDIAN, Idaho) -- A motorcyclist has been hospitalized following a vehicular crash in Meridian late Wednesday night.

Idaho State Police said Dave Briggs, 36, of Meridian, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 20/26 near McDermott Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in it striking a barrier, and Briggs being ejected.

Briggs was taken to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Garden City Man Sentenced for Abuse, Neglect, Medicaid Fraud

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Garden City, Idaho man who pleaded guilty to abuse, neglect and Medicaid fraud was sent to a sober-living house while his prison sentence was suspended on Thursday.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Paul Draine, 43, admitted to neglecting his mother and submitting claims to Medicaid for fraudulent services. The judge sentenced Draine to a one-year fixed prison sentence and four years of indeterminate jail time. However, the prison sentence was suspended in lieu of five years probation, $23,408 in restitution and entrance into the Rising Sun Sober Living Facility in Boise.

Draine pleaded guilty last month. He had been employed by TLC Home Health Care & Nursing Inc. at the time he abused his mother. Investigators looking into the initial accusations found that the home Draine shared with his parents was littered with drug paraphernalia, trash and animal feces, the Statesman reports.

Man, 19, Accused of Sexual Contact with Toddler

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man has been arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a toddler.

Michael Green was arrested at his job on Wednesday evening, and has been charged with sexual abuse of a child under 16 years of age, and lewd contact with a minor.

Police said the arrest comes after an investigation into allegations that Green had sexual contact with a child younger than two years old.

Woman Arrested After Nearly 40 Pounds of Weed Found on Bus

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A California woman was arrested at the downtown Boise bus station on Tuesday after police received reports of an odor of marijuana coming from a bag underneath the bus.

Police were dispatched to the bus station just before 10 a.m. to investigate the smell from a bus that had arrived from Portland, Ore. A Boise Police Department K9 alerted on a specific bag, and a search turned up nearly 40 pounds of marijuana.

In addition to the marijuana, officers found slightly more than one pound of marijuana wax and one gram of methamphetamine.

Lori Lovely, 54, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and possession of methamphetamine.

Application Period Open for Students on Boards and Commissions Program

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Mayor David Bieter opened up the application period for the Students on Boards and Commissions program on Friday.

The program, which allows Boise teens the opportunity to engage and experience the management of the city's government, will accept an undetermined number of students onto community boards and commissions from Sept. 2014 through May 2015.

To apply, high school students are asked to fill out an application by the May 9 deadline and select their preferred boards or commissions.

Students can choose to be part of the Airport Commission the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority, the Boise City Arts and History Commission, the Design Review Board, the Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee, the Historic Preservation Commission, the Library Board, the Mayor's Council on Children and Youth, the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Prospective participants can get an application form from the city of Boise's website.

Search On for Boise Coffee Shop Robber

Boise Police Department(BOISE, Idaho) -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a coffee shop in Boise on Saturday.

Witnesses told police that a man entered the coffee shop on the 2100 block of South Broadway, demanded money from a clerk, and then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police have released surveillance photos of a man being sought in connection with the crime. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Man Arrested for DUI Early Monday Morning

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Mountainhome man has been arrested for driving under the influence.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, 45-year-old George Earl Brooks was arrested early Monday morning and charged with DUI.

He has since been released from police custody.
