(BOISE, Idaho) -- A California man died Sunday in a crash on Idaho State Highway 50, The Idaho Press-Tribune reports.
Idaho State Police investigated the accident just after 5:30 p.m. near milepost 4 on the Hansen Bridge in Jerome County. The crash occurred when 53-year-old Jeffrey Evans, of Grass Valley, California, struck a 2002 GMC sierra, driven by 40-year-old Shane Scott, of Filer, Idaho, while attempting to make a U-turn in front of it. Jeffrey Evans had one passenger, 59-year-old Susan Evans in his vehicle at the time, while Scott had 40-year-old Diana Scott and 14-year-old Trevor Scott as passengers in his vehicle, the paper says.
Jeffrey Evans died of his injuries at the scene. Diana Scott was transported by air ambulane to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.
