(BOISE, Idaho) -- The Idaho Department of Education announced Wednesday that 14 school districts around the state will share $400,000 in funding to go towards promoting student health.
Over 30 districts or schools applied for the funding, the IDE said, and each of the 14 selected will receive between $20,000 and $40,000.
Caldwell School District is among the selected districts, as is Nampa-Sherman Elementary School.
The Healthy School Program aims to increase health screenings and coordination with health providers, minimize barriers to health services and boost community awareness.
The funds come from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
