(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise State University is moving its Computer Science Department away from the College of Engineering and into the new City Centre Plaza development, according to Boise Weekly.
Representatives of Boise State, the city and the Gardner Company made the announcement Tuesday that the computer lab will get two floors and 50,000-square feet in the plaza.
While the timeline of the move isn’t yet clear, the build-out to accommodate Boise State’s computer science program could cost as much as $15 million.
City officials believe the move could help expose more students to downtown tech businesses, including Clearwater Analytics, which will be headquartered in the building.
