Body Found Floating in Boise River Identified

(BOISE, Ida.) -- Officials have identified the body of a woman found floating in the Boise River on Saturday.

The body is that of 25-year-old Amanda Nicole Reyes, according to the Ada County Coroner.

There were no obvious signs of injury and it’s thought that Reyes drowned. The coroner’s office is waiting on a toxicology report, though that could take several weeks.

Reyes’ body was found by two people west of the Main Street Bridge on Saturday morning. Her body was eventually recovered by the Boise Fire Dive Rescue team.

Police are continuing to investigate the case.
