(BOISE, Idaho) -- On Tuesday, Pine and Featherville residents will be given limited access to their homes, ABC affiliate KIVI-TV reports.
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Department says that Pine residents are allowed to check their properties and retrieve personal items from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Featherville residents can check their properties during the times 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Although all Featherville homes have been saved, the sheriff says the smoke is too dangerous in that area for residents to return.
To enter the homes, there will be checkpoints in place and all residents must show proof of ID and residence.
