(BOISE, Idaho) -- Police arrested a Boise man and charged him with a DUI after he was found driving erratically with a young child in the car.
Mark J. Day, 34, was driving along South Vista Avenue at 11 a.m. when police noticed that he had failed to signal a turn. Upon conducting a traffic stop, police noticed that Day was “very intoxicated.”
Day failed several field sobriety tests, and upon being taken to the Ada County Jail he blew a .23/.22 on the breathalyzer, almost three times the legal limit.
A child who was less than 10-years-old was inside the car while Day was allegedly drunk driving, so an injury to a child charge was added to the DUI.
Day has several prior DUI convictions, making this latest one a felony. He was also found to be in violation of parole.
