(BOISE, Idaho) -- Two people were arrested early Friday morning after a traffic stop in Boise allegedly turned up some drug-related items.
Police said just after midnight a vehicle was pulled over after officers realized its registration had been canceled. While making contact with the driver, Steven Bowman, 30, officers said a police dog alerted to the possibility of drugs in the vehicle and a search of the vehicle then turned up scales, a spoon, baggies and a hypodermic needle with meth residue on them.
Bowman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, Kayla Martinez, 20, was arrested on contempt of court warrant charges.
