(BOISE, Idaho) -- A check on the welfare of two children at a Boise home on Tuesday, resulted in police finding a quantity of illegal drugs and arresting two people.
Apalonia Waldenmyer, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of injury to a child; while Furley Chandler III, 43, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and with probation violations.
Police went to the home on the 100 block of North Allumbaugh Street on Tuesday morning to carry out the welfare check, and while there they said they discovered a loaded syringe and items of drug paraphernalia within reach of two children under the age of 5, along with a small amount of meth.
Both children have been placed in the custody of relatives.
