(TREASURE VALLEY, Idaho) -- The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality issued an orange air quality alert on Monday for Ada and Canyon counties, The Idaho Press Tribune reports.
The DEQ said the air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups, but all individuals may think about postponing vigorous outdoor activities until it improves. The air quality index is forecast at 110 because of continued inversion conditions, which have kept temperatures at about zero at night and up to approximately 20 degres during the day, the paper says.
All open outdoor burning is prohibited in Ada and Canyon counties, and indoor/wood burning is restricted in Boise and Ada County, according to the Press Tribune.
