(BOISE, Idaho) -- Barabara Buchanan was selected on Wednesday by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter to serve as a First District Judge.
Buchanan, 54, will replace First District Judge Steve Berby and will be the first woman appointed to a judgeship in the First Judicial District.
“The Idaho court system is in a period of change. We are embarking on an innovative new program to deliver justice more quickly, efficiently and effectively,” Buchanan said. “I am excited to be part of that process.”
