(BOISE, Idaho) -- Part of the Boise National Forest has been temporarily closed due to an aggressive black bear in the area, ABC affiliate KIVI-TV reports.
The Rainbow Basin area, near Trinity Mountain on the Mountain Home Ranger District, was closed Thursday night at 6 p.m. out of concerns for public safety.
"The bear was reported to Idaho Department of Fish and Game as acting aggressively on Wednesday, and subsequently it was wounded by campers when it approached them," said David Olseon with the Boise National Forest. "IDFG attempted to track the blood trail, but it disappeared."
