(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Nampa woman was indicted earlier this week in a murder-for-hire plot, following her October arrest.

According to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Idaho, Monique Christine Martinez, 33, had been arrested on Oct. 22 and was indicted on Wednesday on one count of using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of a murder-for-hire.

Court documents say that Martinez reached out to an individual in California via Facebook in an effort to hire a person to kill her husband. On Oct. 17, she met with an undercover FBI agent who she believed was a hitman. After telling him that she wanted her husband dead, she paid the agent $350 and promised additional money later in the week. She then provided the agent with information including her husband's name, work address and the address of his mother's home where he had been living recently.

The U.S. attorney also claims that Martinez showed the agent a photo of her husband, described his tattoos and his vehicle and provided his work schedule.

Martinez faces up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and up to three years of supervised release.
