(BOISE, Idaho) -- More than 125 kids will receive free bikes at a Boise community center this Saturday, the Idaho Statesman reports.
Many of the bikes were donated by cyclists who participated in the 10th annual Blues Cruise recreational ride, hosted by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health. The Boise Bicycle Project repaired the bikes and donated more through its bicycle recycling program.
Many of the recipients are refugees from low-income families with limited transportation, the paper says.
Kids will also receive safety training from BBP technicians at Saturday's event, to be held at the Whitney Community Center, 1609 S. Owyhee St. in Boise, from 9 a.m. to noon.
