(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise Police arrested two people Thursday in connection with an organized retail fraud ring, accusing the pair of using stolen credit cards to make purchases.

Lisa Simmers, 26, of Boise and Jerry Alexander, 20, of Miami, Florida, are charged with burglary. The two are in custody in connection to the Sept. 25 arrest of another Florida man, Giraldo Nelson.

Local store employees notified officials of a suspect who had made several gift card purchases at area stores, totalling approximately $12,000.

Police arrested Nelson in September as he was arriving at Boise Airport in an attempt to return to Florida.  Officials said Nelson used counterfeit credit cards with accounts recently compromised in major corporate security breaches.

Further investigation led police to Alexander and Simmers. Officers discovered equipment used to make fraudulent credit cards at a residence the pair had been living in. The execution of a search warrant also revealed a number of firearms throughout the home.

The arrest comes days after police busted another organized theft ring in Boise. Officials nabbed 12 people from Georgia on Monday, all suspected of using stolen credit cards.
