(BOISE, Idaho) -- A 23-year-old Las Vegas woman was sentenced to over five years in prison Wednesday for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Sadith Chavez-Perez met with an undercover officer at a parking lot in Meridian, Ohio in March 2013, according to officials. During the encounter, she discussed future drug deals with the agent.
Weeks later, Chavez-Perez arranged to deliver five ounces of meth to the undercover officer, transported by a co-defendant. During another deal, Chavez-Perez was stopped by law enforcement in Nevada, where officers found more than 1,300 grams of the drug.
Chavez-Perez was sentenced to 71 months in prison. Following the completion of her prison sentence, Chavez-Perez is subject to five years of supervised release. She also faces deportation.
