(BOISE, Idaho) -- A 31-year-old Boise man was sentenced Thursday to 26 months in prison for conspiring to launder money in a synthetic marijuana scheme.

Robert Eoff and three co-conspirators -- Mark Ciccarello, Troy Palmer, and William Mabry -- planned to buy and import chemicals from China to treat plants for the development of the "Spice" replica.

The men also conspired to launder money illegally obtained through the creation and distribution of the product, according to the U.S. District Attorney's Office.

Eoff is ordered to serve 36 months of supervised release following his sentence and must complete 80 hours of community service.
